Sue, no sign of the GCG when I looked carefully from the bridge over Warrina Inlet this morning. In fact I used to check this area regularly last summer and never saw anything reportable on this chat line. However, about 100 metres to the N, a male golden whistler was in full song. There was one here also in Jan 2004. Grey butcherbird was calling in the grounds of the GG, and also at the Yarralumla Nursery. Both are known spots where this species, rare in the suburbs otherwise, occurs. Jack Holland |
