Nothing up to the level of potential Black Falcons (including fledglings),
but here goes...
Fifty-eight species at my site over the weekend, which does not include the
'stringy' records by call of Brown Treecreeper (which are in the area) and
Bassian Thrush.
The White-throated Nightjar called once on dusk on Friday evening, but was
otherwise silent. It might have been intimidated by the very vocal
Australian Owlet-nightjar and Southern Boobook, both of which called
throughout the night both nights.
Breeding activity / dependent young were observed for Brown Goshawk,
Wedge-tailed Eagle, Peregrine Falcon, Yellow-tailed Black-cockatoo, Galah,
Laughing Kookaburra, Grey Fantail, Rufous Whistler, Weebill, White-browed
Scrubwren, Silvereye and Eastern Spinebill.
Both Satin and Leaden Flycatchers were present, as were both Rufous and Grey
Fantails, Jacky Winter, Scarlet Robin, Red-browed and White-throated
Treecreepers. The only cuckoos were Brush and Shining Bronze-cuckoo.
The Peregrine Falcon and Satin Flycatcher were the first records I have had
at the site, which is now up to 89 species.
