John,

Be careful with the close investigation of the underpants - you may receive
some bite marks ;-)

David,

Re there being less chance at strong-bill at Peter Murrell, for interest
sake, I once saw (one or more) black-headed, yellow-throated and
strong-billed honeyeaters all in same flowering gum tree at same time near
Heron Pond - the smaller southern dam, with yellow wattlebird within cooee.
Also saw a remarkable courtship of grey shrike-thrush that morning. On that
particular occasion, I began birding pre-sunrise, and upon return to car at
Lady Penrhyn access, I was greeted by swooping arrival of an unmarked police
car. I was questioned by detectives about a sexual assault that had occurred
that night, and submitted to removing my shirt to prove that there were no
bite marks - which the victim had delivered to upper arm of the offender.

Regarding the two thornbills, I have relied, maybe too much, on the degree
of scalloping on brown head of thornies to ID - with browns having, it seems
to me, clearly more distinct 'scalloping'. Will look at the underpants
instead next time!
