32 seen feeding on grass seeds around nursery; not common on coastal lowlands.

Southern Boobook, Rose-crowned Fruit Dove Townsville Town Common Conservation Park
Southern Boobook and Rose-crowned Fruit Dove seen in the Shelly Beach area of the Townsville Town Common. Not often seen on the Common. Birds were among the 82 species seen by members on a BirdLife Townsville outing into the Shelly Beach area.

Sun 26 Aug Black-tailed Native-hen Laroona area, 'Railway Dam'
Black-tailed Native-hen observed (scoped) wandering around the dam margins during our whole lunch stop.
