Manly
At least 5 birds present. Also 26 Gull-billed Terns, 200+ Grey-tailed Tattlers (a lot still in breeding plumage), a few Terek Sands, 3 Great Knot, 3 Double-banded Plovers, 25+ Curlew Sands and 4 Buff-banded Rails.

2 birds in breeding plumage... these birds may have been absent on migration for just 3 months

Black Flacon
Amberley
Single Black Falcon has returned to the area after an absence of a few weeks. Observed the bird hunting over grassland before successfully capture unidentified prey. The bird then consumed the item while thermalling on the wing over the next 5mins. Great site to see!!!

Latham's Snipe

Our first sighting of a snipe this season. Showing well in the late afternoon light foraging along edge of grassy lagoon, opposite main lagoon at end of walking track.

Red-necked Avocets
Kianawah Road, Lindum
A group of 20 birds amongst other species including a sharp-tailed sandpiper in the wetland area off this road and just short of Lindum rail station.

White-winged Fairy-wren (1) seen near racecourse on fenceline.
2-3 birds also seen 25/8 43kms further north on Prairie-Muttaburra Rd near "Dotswood". Approaching the northern limit of its range.
