Hi all,

On the flip side, there is a noticeable absence of Little and Musk Lorkeets in the Capertee Valley (NSW just west of the Mountains) at the moment, where normally Little Lorikeets are reasonably common and Musk a bit less so. There has been no significant flowering in the valley for the last few months, but earlier rains have resulted in a flush of seeding grasses and good numbers of finches, including Plum-heads. Hopefully those same rains will mean a good flowering of eucalypts next year.

Cheers,

Carol

Gaday listers, just to confirm Nathans observations there certainly appear to be many more Musk Lorikeets and Little Lorikeets in the County of Cumberland over the past few months.
