Male vs female calls of Sacred Kingfisher and Southern Boobook

HI Everyone,

During the last week, birds have been very active around my home particularly 
the above two species.

I have only every heard one Sacred Kingfisher here before but over the last few 
days two have  been calling incessantly all day.  One has a much lower tone and 
slower tempo than the other.  Is this a difference between male and female and 
does anyone know which is which?

We have also had two Boobooks calling most nights - again very unusual and 
again one is lower and slower than the other.

I would be interested in hearing any comments.
