Dear all

My son rang me late two nights ago, from his office (he is one of those guys who works 16 hr days more often than not - for a bank) which is in O'Connell Street, Sydney centre just up from Circular Quay. He could hear a bird calling, high clipped piping calls, continuous. Of course can't open windows and couldn't see anything and the noise was coming from above - and he can't get on the roof. Then the calls got more excited and he heard a different call as another bird arrived, making similar noises and his attempts to imitate made me think of the kek kek kek calls of the falcons . To me, his description sounded like a Peregrine feeding a fledgling.

Has any birder working in the City recently noticed Peregrines around? And are they still nesting on the harbour bridge ? - I seem to remember they were moved on when the bridge climb was set up.
