Hello Peter,

If the Koel consistently calls from the same perch and you can get to it,
buy the largest plastic snake you can find in a toy-shop, and arrange it in
a life-like pose somewhere close to the perch.  It just might work.

I have thus successfully 'moved on' birds (species not identified) roosting
above our drive-way.  (Because of the unsightliness of their droppings.)

(A stuffed cat might work equally well ... and one less live cat would be a
plus for the local birds.  But that involves rather more trouble.)
