Hi Everyone,

I would be grateful if anyone with knowledge would reply to the list, as my husband and I are heading into nth Qld in June for a month in our campervan. I'd like some latest information from someone who knows the gravel road as far as Iron Range. We have agreed we will drive as far as we feel comfortable, and not make a fuss if the road is too rough for the vehicle and we have to turn around. It's a 4WD campervan, but we don't want to shake the innards out of the domestic part.

Cheers,

Jill Dening

Hi Birders,

My wife and I have 2 weeks (but will be more like 17 days) for a
holiday in the last week in June. We were originally thinking of
Darwin to Alice by 4wd (we've never been to the Territory, let alone
the Big Rock) but after seeing the parrots last night we've started
considering a trip to Iron Range NP. What are the logistics like
getting there? And any other opinions on the Darwin-Alice option? I'm
not afraid of some big driving days and consider a 1000k day totally
acceptable.
