Have a look at the NRMA web page on the Tanami at http://
www.openroad.com.au/travel_4wd_tanamitrack.asp
It gives an outline of the conditions to be expected and contact
numbers for more detailed local road conditions on the track. I don't
think you should have much trouble with the Forester but take a
couple of extra tyres, they could save you a few hundred dollars and
a few days wait if you have to get them on the track. It is a
sellers market out there.
