Thanks to the dozen or so helpful people who have emailed to advise
where to find the image. Now I know where to go when I want help to use
my mobile phone to access a text message or use it as an alarm clock!
FOUND IT, and I agree with Chris Corben that it is a Curlew Sandpiper.
Regarding names I too noticed some alternatives used by international
birders which seem strange to us. Particularly Green Oriole for Oriolus
flavocinctus which we call Yellow Oriole. Knowing no Latin, I always
supposed this came from the Latin name. Not that that would be an
excuse. Colour blindness seems a better reason! Using Clements to find
Yellow Oriole you may like me, be surprised to learn that it is Icterus
nigrogularis and it lives in central America, not Australia. I know
nothing about the bird but presume that it is actually yellow.

Olive-backed Sunbird seems to be the internationally accepted name and
is used in the latest Pizzey. Clements has split (from memory) the
Australian form of the Black-shouldered Kite and so has named ours the
Australian one, but this does not seem to be universally accepted yet?

    Hi Mike
Yes i agree that the Sacred is a Forest Kingfisher. Whilst my ID
skills are not any where in the same league as yourself i would
agree
that the Terns are not Black-naped.
The "Broad-billed Sandpiper" is the image after the Bridled Tern and

still seems to be labelled as such on my web browser.

The naming of a couple of birds is different to what i am used to as
well. Is that the "international naming" or just old names. eg -
    Olive-backed Sunbird, Australian Kite??

    Cheers
