You are going to have to wait a bit longer.  ERA has only committed to
mining at Ranger until 2008, they have recently announced good prospects
of extending mining until 2011, but even if mining ceases, processing
will continue at Ranger until about 2020 and perhaps longer if ERA
resolves issues with tradional owners and starts mining at Jabiluka.

Interesting place to visit - like a Canberra suburb transported to
the tropics.  No cats, not many dogs, lots of birds - best place I've
been for Barking Owls.
