Hi Peter

I suggest you contact your local Council. You have a legitimate interest as an abutting neighbour and if the developer has produced a landscaping plan it is almost certainly because the Council requires one.

I agree with the comments by others, especially the desirability of planting local stock.

But is WA Flowering Gum Corymbia ficifolia known to spread anywhere out of its range? Here we get lots of gum nuts (and Musk Lorikeets!) but no signs of seedlings.

Incidentally, I am trying to get them banned near remnant bushland because they are so attractive to larger birds....
