Hi every one and Happy New Year to you all.
My first sighting for 2007 was a Spinetailed Swift.

On a more serious subject it appears the Little Terns that are trying to nest
at Penrhyn Rd Banksmeadow appear to have no chance of success according to
reports I have been getting. I think there are about 10 nests and the birds are
repeatedly being disturbed by dogs and people. Is there nothing that can be
done to help these beautiful birds succeed in raising their young, or have we
abandoned breeding sites in this area for the container terminal.
For any one looking for Wood Sandpiper there are two on Little Bushels Lagoon
Wilberforce presumably
displaced from Pitt Town through lack of suitable habitat.
