And then you get an Enviromental Goverment Minister looking at the Sat. pics and saying there is to much illegal land clearing going on. Then sombody reminded him that we are in a hundred year drought!!!!! Seriously though, in the forests around Orange there has been a large decline in Kangaroo, possum and even wild pig numbers. So we can assume that the drought has has a large effect by both breeding and distribution on the less plentiful and/or hardier breeds of birds. Travelling to Dubbo or Parkes there is well below average numers of wildlife including birds.
