I received this email this-morning:

>I live on a canal estate and the adjacent property is vacant land which
>continually has plovers feeding and the noise has become quiet unbearable,
>even to the point that my daughter is unable to sleep because her bedroom
is
>adjacent to where they are feeding. For the past week the plovers have
>become even louder and more aggressive and seem to be moving in pairs.
>
>Is there anyway the birds can be moved or do you have any suggestions??
>
>Many thanks

I'm finding it very difficult to frame a response, so I thought I'd ask for
input from birding-aussers.

Any comments, whether online or sent to me offline, will be summarised and
passed on to the enquirer.

I'd appreciate peoples' thoughts on this.
