Hi Bob

Glad my guess was right even though the bird was described
as rather grey for the usual Streptopelia plumages. 

I hadn't realised that they hybridise with Rock Doves
Columbia livea.  Does that happen in the wild - or just in
cages ? Are the young fertile ?

Anyhow I hope Peter will take appropriate action.  The
Birding-Aus archive has quite a bit about them but it may
already be too late to stop them getting on to the
Australian bird list and doing what ever they do to native
