I find alot of Fan-tailed Cuckoos wintering around Sydney each year. Quite a few still call during the winter months. I have often seen them around suburban gardens at this time of year. There are also quite a few Horsfield's and Golden Bronze-cuckoo's usually to be found every year in winter aswell. cheers!
