Hello All

Some birders demonstrate addictive behaviour. While this is largely
harmless, the lives of some revolve around finding that new bird to the
extent that they have difficulty relating to other human beings (unless
they have relevant information or demonstrate similar behaviour) and may
demonstrate a degree of self-centredness which even affects their
attitudes to the environment (for instance using tapes with vulnerable
birds, going into sensitive areas). I can well understand why such
birders have a bad name whether they be called 'twitchers' or whatever.
