Dear karl as you may be aware many seed eating Australian birds are kept all 
over the world in captivity ,diamond doves are no exeption they are very free 
breeders in captivity mainly because they can raise young on a seed and water 
only diet. It is not uncommon to  see avairy escaped Australian birds anywere 
in the world  were people keep birds                thanks Ian Clark
