I saw a Diamond Dove in Perth Western Australia a few years ago in
February.  This was well out of range, although it was a very dry year
inland.  However, I was informed that Diamond Doves are fairly common
aviary birds, and that it was most likely to be an escapee.  I imagine that
this is most likely to be the cause of this sighting in Hong Kong also.
