I'm not sure how generally applicable the following metric is, but it may
stir a rather larger pot. For the COG Annual Bird Report to June 2017, of
the 173,333 records available to the authors of that report: 1847 records
were sourced from BA and 158,628 (91.5%) sourced from eBird.
