In reply to Martins questions my understanding is yes to all of the
above (or below)
It seems that the southern birds come in from Indonesia and cross
largely uninhabited areas. It has been suggested that the north Qld
birds arrive from PNG.
On migration they only seem to call in the early morning if at all.
