Hi MIlton
I've just returned from a trip to Iron Range. 3 of us took the fly/drive
accommodation package offered by Portland House - here's a link to it.
The trip exceeded all expectations in every way and we ate at the Portland
Roads cafe which has an outstanding menu on offer - we got all the targets
bar 4 and didn't get or expect the Pitta in early December and went in full
knowledge of that.
My best advice would be to learn the calls in advance as the birding can be
overwhelming without that. The ebird hotspots have it very well covered
for references
Here's a link to the Portland House package if you're interested

Not to be missed is the Metallic Starling murmaration on dusk each day at
chilli beach
