I work at a shop where we sell binoculars here in California. So my job
every day at work is to guide people through the best binoculars that are
specifically best for them. We have moderately priced bins ie. Zeiss
Terra, Nikon monarch7 etc. and high end. Swarovski EL models and also
Zeiss Victory. Here is my impression of the victory. Lightweight but a
bit large in size. Wonderful field of view and appear to be well made.
However for $2800.00 US I have been underwhelmed. Although sharp they
offer a green/yellow tint while viewing. For some this would be simply a
preference thing. by contrast the Swarovski EL swarovision leans towards
an icey bright image. Which i prefer actually. That said ergonomically I
have never really been that impressed with the Swaros. but then I handle
binoculars hundreds of times per month and so by admittance am pickey.
What I would highly stress is that if one has not had the Swarovski 8x32
ELs in the hand you NEED to give these a look. They are compact overall
and very very light. The brightness is the same to my eyes as the 8.5x42
without all that cumbersome weight. What I dont like about the 8x32s is
the fit for my hand but again I am super particular. If you bird most of
your time in ultra low light they may not be as good of a fit as a 42mm
binocular but I find this rare in birders. Otherwise you simply wont
notice between a 32 and a 42 mm objective lens. Among the high end
binoculars we sell at our shop the swarovski 8x32 sells easily 10 to 1 over
other high end bins. Hope that helps! Feel free to ask me any questions
