Hi all, Broome Bird Observatory has been sent a photo (third-hand) of a Nicobar Pigeon taken somewhere on the Dampier Peninsula near One Arm Point, north of Broome. The timestamp on the photo suggests it was taken 29th March (thanks Rohan Clarke). No further details at this stage but we're chasing it up. BBO are currently running a course so staff will not be able to go looking for at least a week or two. Anyone considering chasing it if further details come to light, please be aware of the entry requirements for many of the communities on the Dampier Peninsula (usually just an entry permit that can be arranged in town) This would be the second record for Australia and first for the mainland Cheers, John

Birding-Aus mailing list

To change settings or unsubscribe visit:
http://birding-aus.org/mailman/listinfo/birding-aus_birding-aus.org
|
