Thank you Greg - for your explanation. We have been birding for some years now but so less experienced than some of you who post on Birding Aus. I have learnt a great deal. However, I can’t promise I will never put out bird seed again and Denise - water! We do however have a large fully native garden with plants of variable sizes. Thanks again.
