We also had more Yellow-billed Spoonbills in the Clarence today than is
usual (4 at one site, 15+ at another).

Subject: Unusual coastal records - Coffs Harbour area
Hello everyone.
I have just had a record from Anne Evans of 16 Black Kites soaring over
Korora, Coffs Harbour today - and heading slowly south. Also, we are
getting more records of Australian Pelican than usual - including approx.
30 flying past at Korora on 1 August, heading north. There are also
unusually large numbers of pelicans at Urunga (up to 20). These records
presumably indicate drying conditions inland. Have there been other unusual
records on the north/mid-north coast of NSW recently? Cheers, Richard
