Grey Falcon
Alice Springs Telegraph Station Historical Reserve
Immature Grey Falcon. White under with blackish primary tips and a black mark at carpal. Watched circling for approx. 20 minutes. Seen from below, and struck by the very pale underparts. A strongly built raptor, quite broad winged. The wings didn't look particularly pointed in the soaring flight. Some faint streaking on the underparts. Seen in the hills going south-east from the telegraph station. I'd guess about a kilometre, not far from where the track that goes through the hills and leads back to the telegraph station leaves the riverside track - difficult to be more precise, as I'm not familiar with the area. Not seen again after initial view.

Long-toed Stint, Pectoral Sandpiper
Alice Springs Sewage Treatment Works
These two species were together on a boggy area between ponds near the lone palm not far from the gate. Also with them was a Pacific Golden Plover, apparently uncommon here. A good afternoon with good numbers of Wood Sandpipers, a few Common Sandpipers, Marsh Sandpipers and Greenshank and a Grey Plover made for a rather European feel to the place. No sign of the Ruff or the Grey Wagtail, though.
