Seasons greetings,
I have received a few enquiries about Sydney pelagics recently, including from
overseas visitors. I've managed to find a vessel and a very nice enthusiastic
operator and guide suitable for the trip.
The format will need to be a little different to what Sydney birders are used
to but to be done long-term, it needs to be at a price and in a format that can
be sustained by the operator. We've managed to do a very good deal when you
consider whale-watching just outside the heads is $85 per person for just 2
hours.
The trip will depart at 6am sharp and return by lunchtime (1pm), departing from
Watsons bay, Military road in front of Doyle's Restaurant Sydney. We would aim
to be at Brown's Mountain between 7:30am-8am and have a good 3.5 hours out wide
before heading in. We'll arrive back at Watson's Bay at 1pm.
The price will be $179 per person and will need a minimum of 15 people. To
book, follow the booking link at the bottom of this page:

If this is successful, we will endeavour to organise and run these at least
every other month, if not monthly.
If you would like to be kept informed about future pelagics, enter your details
into the enquiry form on the above link and specify your interest under
'special requests'.
Regards,
Simon.
