Sun 8 Dec	Australian Painted-Snipe, Pectoral Sandpiper Kellys Swamp & Jerrabomberra Wetlands, Fyshwick Male Australian Painted-Snipe still present as was one Pectoral Sandpiper. Pec was associating with a single Sharp-tailed Sandpiper. Single Pied Cormorant observed in company with large flock of Great Cormorants. Alastair Smith; Frank Antram
Fri 6 Dec	Australian Painted-Snipe, Pectoral Sandpiper Kellys Swamp & Jerrabomberra Wetlands, Fyshwick Very good views of the male Australian Painted-Snipe. Snipe was hidden from view for about an hour until a Purple Swamphen disturbed it. Also also one Pectoral Sandpiper in the same vicinity at the end of the 'shingle beach'. Alastair Smith
Thu 5 Dec	Singing Honeyeater Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) Bruce At the wetlands as reported by John Bundock. Singing Honeyeater (1) Seen initially in the reeds, then later seen in trees by the roadside. Photo attached. Christine D
Thu 5 Dec	Australian Painted-Snipe Kellys Swamp & Jerrabomberra Wetlands, Fyshwick Single male still present, located sitting in a grass tussock from the Ardea hide, after being pointed out to me by other birder who already had a scope on him. Wed 4 Dec	Australian Painted-Snipe Kellys Swamp & Jerrabomberra Wetlands, Fyshwick single bird still present. Moved a few metres from previous sightings. Visible from both Bittern hide (front view) and Ardea hide (side view). 'White harness' and cream head stripe clearly visible. Time approx. 2pm michael maconachie
Sun 1 Dec	Australian Painted-Snipe Kellys Swamp & Jerrabomberra Wetlands, Fyshwick A lone Australian Painted-Snipe was observed from Ardea hide at dusk. After feeding for about 20 seconds in the open, the bird got scared and disappeared. It was already too dark to determine whether it was a male or a female. Viv Rolland
Sun 1 Dec	Australian Painted-Snipe Kellys Swamp A single male Australian Painted-snipe rested quietly under the dock plant between the two 'fallen logs' out from Ardea Hide between 11:20 and 12:15 h on Sunday. Clearly a male based on colour of eye surround, neck colour. Wing patterning less clear due to dappled light but more like male than female patterning. Poor photos obtained but not uploaded.
