Pied Butcherbird
Highland Valley 35deg13'59" S, 138deg54'16"E
On 18/4/11 I sighted a Pied Butcherbird between about 1645 hrs & 1700 hrs within about 30 metres of my house. During the time of observation the bird flew in a relatively small area among Eucalyptus spp & Acacia spp. & was sighted on about 8 occasions.

Common Sandpiper, Red-necked Stint, Sharp-tailed Sandpiper
Amata Waste Water Treatment Plant
Site vegetation has been cleared from overflow pond and around pools leaving no shade for birds. As a result viewing has been pretty lousy until today with the arrival of waders
Common Sandpiper (1) Feeding at overflow pipe and on margin of pond
Red-necked Stint (1) Feeding w/ Sharpies
Sharp-tailed Sandpiper (8) Feeding in overflow pond in approx. 10mm of water.

Great Crested Grebe, Black-tailed Godwit
Greenfields Wetlands, Dry Creek
Good to see the grebe at this location. Not often reported in this area.

Black-tailed Godwit (1) Across from bird hide, was sleeping most of the time, some preening, among grey teals and sharp-tailed sandpipers

Tawny Frogmouth
Flagstaff Hill
Family of 4 Tawny Frogmouths observed huddled together in a tree at eye level in our backyard backing onto Sturt Gorge.
