We have heard plenty of Owlet-nightjars on our place north of Hobart but never seen one. We were checking trees we had planted, this afternoon on the north side of the hill and on checking one, found this roosting safely inside! The links to the pictures are for Flickr: m("N03/10553051875/in/photostream/","//www.flickr.com/photos/34886851");">http: m("N03/10553066375/in/photostream/","//www.flickr.com/photos/34886851");">http: m("N03/10553055046/in/photostream/","//www.flickr.com/photos/34886851");">http: We were unaware that they would roost on the ground, more often tree stumps or hollows. We imagine this would be fairly unusual?
