Hi Ashwin
In terms of
breeding
biology, Welcome Swallow would have to be one of the best
known Australian and New
Zealand species. There is a mass of information in the
literature. Nevertheless,
the summary in HANZAB
has eggs (which
in reality only proper estimate of start of breeding) recorded
all months, but
mainly August to December. HANZAB has a detailed
breakdown of 2593
clutches in the Nest Record Scheme by month (each in turn
broken down to early, mid and
late), as well as a summary of the extensive published
literature (e.g. papers
by Tarburton, in Emu,
Marchant &
Fullagar also in Emu).
I suggest a literature
search would turn up most of the papers.
