Thanks for your input in so far.
Large-billed Scrubwren is certainly found in the area, although
not usual at this particular site as it is higher up on a ridge on
the understorey is quite grassy. They are common in the rainforest
gullies a few hundred metres away though.
White-browed Scrubwren are common at the site, but that final
trill is really what throws me and doesn't sound scrubwren-like to
me.
Without seeing the bird I think our only hope is as you mentioned,
someone who has heard & identified this call before.
