Wonderful experience. The water level in the lake was very low but there was thoused of water birds (over 10,000 Pink-eared ducks, 5000 Grey Teals and hundred of other birds. The biggest surprise - 254 (probably more Red-capped Plovers. In deeper water there were also a good number of Musk Ducks, Freckled Ducks and Blue-billed Ducks. As we were wondered along the trail we encountered: White-winged Fairywrens and Chirruping Wedgebills. We also found a small flock (20) Orange Chats and two Australian Pratincoles on the dry scrub near the lake. It took us nearly 6 hours to walk around the lake (10 km)
