	Freckled Duck Lake Galletly, University Queensland, Lawes 5 birds around the aeration filters, with one male Blue-billed Duck Tom Tarrant and Karen Mustin
	Barking Owl Schuster Park, Tallebudgera, Gold Coast The pair still present and showing well this morning. This is a very scarce species in SEQ. Rob Morris, Andy Jenson, Stuart Pickering
Sat 10 Aug	Long-billed Corella Schuster Park, Tallebudgera, Gold Coast Long-billed Corella Well out of range but seen and identified by 3 birders Ross Monks (2128)
Sat 10 Aug	Cottom Pygmy Goose Forest Lake 3 birds sighted late afternoon. Male, Female and a Juvenile. Pauline Brennan

	Freckled Duck Priors Pocket Road, Priors Pocket (Dam) 4 Freckled Ducks today + c 10 Pink-eared Ducks. Rob Morris
	Rufous Songlark Priors Pocket Road, Priors Pocket Single Rufous Songlark beside pond with Freckled Ducks, near farmhouses, about 4 pm; on ground near roadside fence and tree, pipits nearby; moved farther into paddock in short grazed grass and on bare ground. Roger Jaensch

	Black Falcon Lake Clarendon, Lockyer Valley 2 birds sitting on nest. there are few breeding records of this species in SEQ Greg Roberts
Wed 7 Aug	Australasian Gannet Sandgate One bird seen flying from north to south along the foreshore late in the afternoon. Rick Franks
	Pair of white-breasted woodswallows Bennets rd, Camp Hill Seen them a couple of times while driving along this road recently. Drew Morris
Tue 6 Aug	Marsh Sandpiper, Lewin's Rail, Grass Owl Kedron Wetland One Marsh Sandpiper seen along with many Red-kneed Dotterels at the wetland. Lewin's Rail was heard and the grass owl performed at dusk. Nick Leseberg
Mon 5 Aug	White-eared Monarch McLean Rd Maleny Single adult male seen at home, first sighting here for 2 years R.Lamb
Sat 3 Aug	Osprey Bundamba Wetlands Pair of Osprey observed to catch and consume fish from Bundamba Wetlands lagoon Peter Horler, Margaret Cameron, et al
Tue 30 Jul	Red-capped Plover, Musk Duck, Blue-billed Duck Lake Bindegolly National Park Wonderful experience. The water level in the lake was very low but there was thoused of water birds (over 10,000 Pink-eared ducks, 5000 Grey Teals and hundred of other birds. The biggest surprise - 254 (probably more Red-capped Plovers. In deeper water there were also a good number of Musk Ducks, Freckled Ducks and Blue-billed Ducks. As we were wondered along the trail we encountered: White-winged Fairywrens and Chirruping Wedgebills. We also found a small flock (20) Orange Chats and two Australian Pratincoles on the dry scrub near the lake. It took us nearly 6 hours to walk around the lake (10 km) Ted Wnorowski
