Australasian Gannet, Little Black Cormorant, Pacific Gull
West Beach
Feeding frenzy at midday today with a pack of over 40 Little Black Cormorant frantically diving, surfacing, then flying forward, landing and diving again, following what must have been a large school of fish moving south about 30m off the beach. Great crested terns joined in and eventually even 4 Australasian Gannet joined in the maelstrom. 2 immature Pacific Gull clumsily trying to get a piece of the action, too.
