Letter-winged Kite
Della Road (near Moomba)
Observers: Jade Adams and Michael Jervois
Weather conditions: cool morning with approximately 80% cloud cover and a light breeze.
We took multiple photographs to confirm the bird was indeed a letter-winged kite.
The bird was perched on a coolabah tree within close proximity to the roadside.
Letter-winged Kite (1) a single letter-winged kite was observed perched on a coolabah tree.

Letter-winged Kite
Big Lake (near Moomba)
Observers: Jade Adams and Michael Jervois.
The birds were recorded 500 m south of the Big Lake Satellite (no public access).
Weather conditions: mild and sunny morning with few clouds in the sky.
The letter-winged kites were all perched on the same tree.
We took multiple photographs to confirm they were indeed letter-winged kites.
Note: multiple Notomys fuscus (dusky hopping-mouse) pop-holes and tracks were recorded in the area surrounding the letter-winged kites and whitewash was also observed on the whitewood trees surrounding the area where the letter-winged kites were observed.
Letter-winged Kite (20) Twenty letter-winged kites were observed perched in a whitewood tree on a sand dune.
