Birdline South Australia

Published sightings for the week ending 2 Jun 2013.

Tue 28 May Freckled Duck, Blue-billed Duck Tanunda Sewage Ponds
Went for a look in my lunchbreak... would of liked a little more time to fully be able to count properly. Freckled Duck (10) Maybe more... lots of ducks to search through... most I have seen on these ponds! Blue-billed Duck (10) Maybe more... didn't have enough time to fully scan the mass floatilla of ducks on each pond.

Observation whilst at work Black Falcon (1) Thermalling above the winery then seen a few hours later trying to pirate a Brown Goshawk's Crested Pigeon prey!

Sun 26 May Zebra Finch Alma
Driving through searching for Raptors Zebra Finch (8) A small party of Zebra's flew up out of some thistles on the roadside as I drove through... went back and managed some photographs. I grew up in this area and still pass though often and this is my first sighting of this species here... quite unusual!
