Date: Monday, June 10, 2013

Location: Avoca Dell, Murray Bridge

Spotted Harrier (Circus assimilis) (1) Made several low passes over Lignum 
bushes. Excellent views were had in good light from as close as 100m from where 
we were sitting in our parked car. At around 14.30 a Harrier sp was seen 
spiraling in a thermal above Riverglades. Having reached a consideral height it 
left heading in a NE direction until no longer visible through 10x binoculars.

Location: Middleton Beach

White-bellied Sea-Eagle (Haliaeetus leucogaster) (1) A single bird flying 
towards Victor Harbor about 100 m off shore.

Date: Friday, June 14, 2013

Location: Torrens River, Adelaide, outside rear of Adelaide Zoo.

Nankeen Night Heron (Nycticorax caledonicus) (15) 

All 15 are adults, seen at dawn, roosting in trees lining the Torrens riverbank 
outside the back of the Adelaide Zoo. Seen by Ben McHenry and Emma-Lee Thomson 
whilst on our morning run. There also has been a male Darter hanging around but 
it was absent this morning.

Date: Sunday, June 16, 2013

Location: Deep Creek CP

Bassian Thrush (Zoothera lunulata) (1) 

Heard the thrush calling & was rewarded with good sightings of the bird in 
amongst Grass Trees  Possibly another bird calling as well.  Bird located in 
bush off Tent Rock Road beside Gate 11 (Grid 479 518).

Location: Milang

Cattle Egret (Bubulcus ibis) (1) Eight Cattle Egret perched in dead trees on 
island in front of shacks. They were disturbed by passing Whistling Kite and 
moved into the Snipe sanctuary.

Location: Clayton Bay

Nankeen Night Heron (Nycticorax caledonicus) (3) Three Nankeen Night Heron 
sitting in the outer foliage on northern side of conifers adjacent to Island 
View Drive, apparently enjoying the warmth of the afternoon sunlight.

Little Black Cormorant (Phalacrocorax sulcirostris) (250+) Approximately 250 
Little Black Cormorants in dead trees between Island View Drive and Goose 
Island. Half dozen or so Great Cormorants with them.
