Hi Birding-Aus folk,
this is slightly off-topic but birds will probably be the most photographed
animals resulting from this project, so here goes.....

The TCA and Deakin Uni are sourcing funding to undertake two trips to set
up cameras in this remote part of PNG to survey fauna in this area. The TCA
won a Whiteley Award for their conservation measures, incorporating
education of the local indigenous tribes. I have attached the You-tube link
with Sir David Attenborough's commentary on the area and project.

There is only 6 days left to achieve their funding goal of $20000 and still
need about $7k, so here is the link for anyone who would like to donate to
this research. Donations of $2 and over are tax deductible. There are also
rewards for all who donate.

The FNCV hosted a presentation on this project last week and being a lover
of all animals, I just wanted to volunteer!!!!

If you have any questions or find it difficult to donate through
Pozible.com, I have cc'ed Euan Ritchie ( Lecturer at Deakin) into this
email, so you can correspond with him directly.
