Location: Very close to our property at Rockleigh

Australasian Grebe (Tachybaptus novaehollandiae) (1) All the waterholes are
full after a deluge during the week. The grebe was swimming on a very small dam

Date: Sunday, June 9, 2013

Location: Para Wirra Recreation Park

Whistling Kite (Haliastur sphenurus) (3) Three kites viewed well, circling
quite low at first and gaining some altitude before dispersing.

Little Raven (Corvus mellori) (1) Calling from the top of a tree

Australian Magpie (Gymnorhina tibicen) (2)

Crescent Honeyeater (Phylidonyris pyrrhopterus) (1) Heard calling only.

New Holland Honeyeater (Phylidonyris novaehollandiae) (2)

Location at the Eastern gate on Bassnet road by the Wirra Loop Hike. I saw one
of the kites while driving by and turned around to investigate. The other

around 1-2 minutes. Weather was partly cloudy with a light breeze, cool.
