My IOC list shows that the race carterae is in the NW, but that gouldi (from the SW) and possibly even australis (from the east) are winter migrants. I can't ID the sub species from the photos, but maybe someone else with more knowledge of the Pilbara can. Perhaps call the WA Museum and ask for John Darnell. He lived in the Pilbara for a while and may know.
