Between Borrow Pits & side wall of Ross River Dam, Kelso. Over the paddocks
I counted over 880 Budgerigars in this photograph and not the full flock was in shot.

Peregrine Falcon
Garden Currajong
Time 8.15 am. A large raptor flew in to a small birdbath in my back garden perched on the edge & drank. Stayed for approx 4 mins giving time to note barred tail, barred & blotched brown/black body plumage, Strong yellow legs & talons, Black head plumage incomplete. Immature female peregrine falcon probably 1-2 yrs.. Note the proximity to the nesting site on the East side of Castle Hill.

At least two adults building nest near road and dam. Good nest record of this elusive species.
