Sun 19 May	Freckled Duck Garnet's Lagoon, Hervey Bay Freckled Duck 12 birds observed resting and feeding. My first sighting of Freckled Ducks. Peter Royall and three others.
Sun 19 May	Hoary-headed Grebe Dowse Lagoon, Sandgate Single bird put on a fishing display for half an hour, just 10m from the main hide - first I've seen here. Ged Tranter
Sat 18 May	Pacific Baza Minnippi Parklands, Tingalpa Pacific Baza (1) high in a eucalypt being swooped by some butchers. Poss juvenile, stripes feint but no doubt a PB. Natalie Quinn
Sat 18 May	Black Kite Mt Crosby Rd, Tivoli 500-1000 birds streaming above, moving generally east to west, dispersing and then regrouping. Tried taking photos with iPhone, but only specks in the sky, one photo attached of group of closer birds, but only part of the 'flock' Liz Gould
Fri 17 May	Freckled duck (3) Karraschs Dam, Placid Hills (Gatton) Standing on-shore with a small flock of wood ducks (also a single pink-ear). Drew Morris
Thu 16 May	Cockatiels Intersection Gould Hill Rd and Mt Lindsay Hwy, north of Beaudesert 7 birds on electricity wires Liz Gould
Wed 15 May	Square-Tailed Kite Boscombe Rd, Brookfield Soaring low over forest along creek. Chris Read
	Australasian Shoveler Dowse Lagoon Sandgate About six both male and female, close to the island in the lagoon and best viewed from the side of the lagoon nearest to the Lawn Bowls Club Vincent Bugeja
	Freckled Duck Dowse Lagoon Sandgate one seen on the island in the lagoon and best viewed from the side of the lagoon nearest to the Lawn Bowls Club. Vincent Bugeja
	Cotton Pygmy-Goose Dowse Lagoon Sandgate male and female seen from the viewing platform on Southerden Street Vincent Bugeja
Mon 13 May	Square-tailed Kite Kenmore South Soaring and drifting over suburb; observed here annually in autumn. Roger Jaensch
Sun 12 May	Black kite Reedy Creek, M1 motorway 30+ black kites have been circling on the north eastern side of the Bermuda St exit for about a week now. Wes Tolhurst
	Black-necked Stork Nudgee Adult bird in small ephemeral swamp on western side of the Gateway Motorway just 700 metres South of Nundah Creek crossing. Steve Murray
	Black Kite Caloundra road At least 12 Black Kites seen over Corbould Park ( adjacent to dump ) Tim Siggs
Wed 1 May	Little Eagle Graceleigh Park, Beechmont A pair flying above the ridge just west of the park. The first time I have seen them in Beechmont . Barry Davies
