Masked Woodswallow
Kumbidgee Lodge
Moderator note: Included as an interesting report of irruptive species otherwise uncommon in this area. A late afternoon observation of 'hawking for insect' activity on cleared fields either side of property
Masked Woodswallow (20) A seemingly irruptive arrival of this species into the Katherine Region. Have been observed regularly within the last week. This flock was hawking for insects and sitting on fence-line of cleared fields adjacent to the property.

Black Butcherbird
Territory Wildlife Park/Darwin N.T
Moderator Note: Although this is a commonly seen species around Darwin; This report is published for its interesting information for a species observation.
If you ever want to see Black Butcherbirds up close...just go to the aquarium area at territory wildlife park, and in the trees next to the footpath that leads to the aquarium is two WILD Black Butcherbirds that allow for close proximity. They are always there no matter when i go..a month and a half has past since my last visit and on Sunday they were still there :D
