Location: On our property at Critchley Road, Rockleigh
White-fronted Chat (Epthianura albifrons) (1) We saw a single male bird,
sitting on a large rock in a clearing in a direct-seeded area. This is species
number 70 for our place. Is this a usual bird for the Eastern edge of the Mt
Lofty Ranges ? We don't recall one being seen at Brown's Road, the nearest
regular birding site for BirdsSA to our place.

Location: Port Willunga. SA.
Osprey (Pandion haliaetus) (1) A single immature bird flew north into wind
along the beach. It was harassed by two Magpies and flew to a power pole at the
mouth of the creek where it remained for some time. The Magpies rediscovered it
and it took off again and flew south over the sea and settled on one of the
tallest posts of the ruined jetty. It remained there unmolested for more than
20 minutes when I left.

NE wind, passing inland from The Bluff at Encounter Bay at ~0915 during an
incoming rain period and unsettled weather.

breeze as I walked to meeting.

Todd River Estuary is always a sure place to find a good number of birds. 27
Variety today. Large numbers of Swans and chestnut Teal, Red-cap Plovers
running around.

intersection of Loop Road and Princes Highway.
Painted Button-quail (Turnix varius) (1) Feeding beside the Nukan Kungun trail,
about 1.5 km south of Salt Creek.
Beautiful Firetail (Stagonopleura bella) (2) In Myoporums opposite the general
store!
