Long-toed Stint, Pectoral Sandpiper
Alice Springs Waste Stabilisation Ponds, Northern Territory
Long-toed Stint (1) Feeding among Sharp-tailed Sandpipers on the dried mud at the western end of EP7 just near the bird hide. Great clear views and photographed. Bit jumpier than the Sharpies but still allowed good prolonged viewing.
Pectoral Sandpiper (1) Could only find one today, but was in the same spot as yesterday on the eastern shore of EP10 just beside the bird hide.

Pacific Swallow
Boigu Island, Queensland
On a recent Peregrine Bird Tour to Boigu Island, we observed a single Pacific Swallow flying above the mangroves on the 26th Jan. We saw it much better on the 27th Jan when it flew along the airstrip in a straight line from East to West. We could clearly see how small the bird was, with an incredibly short tail and no white rump.
