Hi Mark,
My understanding is that the previous discussion on the list of
native birds that could be shot was confused between the 'wishlist'
Bill that the Shooters Party originally proposed in 2009 and the one
actually passed. Species that are permitted to be shot in National
Parks/Nature Reserves can be found at Schedule 3 of the following
link:
http://www.parliament.nsw.gov.au/prod/parlment/nswbills.nsf/0/c8afc0c4709e478bca25788e0005e862/$FILE/b2011-163-d18-House.pdf
There are no native animals on that list. That document also
prescribes the National Parks/Nature Reserves that would be opened to
shooting, although other parks can be added. The original 2009
amendment had Ibis, Swans etc, but it was not passed. The original
proposed amendment can be found at

There is however, the Game and Feral Animal Control Further
Amendment Bill 2012, found at:
http://www.parliament.nsw.gov.au/Prod/LC/lcpaper.nsf/0/DA1AEE093DD652FDCA257ABD007E94AD/$file/00069214.pdf
This Bill allows the shooting of native birds for agricultural
'control' purposes, although it is managed by the Game Council. This
is for shooting on private land only.
Birds on the list are:
Australian Shelduck or Mountain Duck
Australian Wood Duck or Maned Duck
Black Duck or Pacific Black Duck
Blue-winged Shoveler or Australasian Shoveler
Chestnut Teal
Grass Whistling Duck or Plumed Whistling Duck
Grey Teal
